I hit a pacific salmon steak with a dry-rub of garlic, salt, crushed black pepper, and dill. pan-fried it. then added a white-wine-lemon-dill-cream sauce. Had it with chicken fried rice.

For lunch today, I decided to go to Whole Foods and get something different. I figured it would be cheaper than going to a sit down restaurant...HA! I had the green chicken chili over rice with some Mac & Cheese and a tomato salad. It was all quite good. Just a little more expensive than I think it should have been. But that's just me. While I was eating a homeless guy sat down near me. He didn't smell so all was good.

Lunch today was a turkey and swiss on multigrain bread with some Cool Ranch Doritos. (I miss the ranch tooth commercial.) Anyway, I went to Mass General to give blood during lunch. Giving Blood is SuperFUN! OK, it's not, but the person who receives the blood thinks it is! Plus you get a free stress ball and a t-shirt. Free stress balls are fun.

I had a Phantom Gourmet gift card that had about $10 left on it so I went to the Kinsale for lunch. I walked in and sat down and waited....and waited....and waited...So when he came over he asked what I wanted and I ordered a coke. (Not really in a beer mood.) He gave me an attitude when I asked for the coke...WTF??? So he goes and pours the coke leaves it on the other end of the bar and then pours a few beers for some people who just walked in the door. I ordered a burger with swiss and bacon, which when they brought it out to me it was wrong. It had a different kind of cheese on it and no bacon. So he sent it back. Anyway, they brought me the correct burger and the fries were luke warm. Basically, they put they didn't give me new fries. The burger was so-so and the coke was watered down. And on top of all that, they had some random amature basketball slam dunk contest on the TV....Maybe the beer would have made the burger better...

They're in Boston near downtown crossing. They make a sandwich that's really yummy. I had that and a Sprite. The sandwiches are Chilean with light, puffy, cake-like bread, made fresh daily on premises and stuffed with tender grilled chicken or steak. It's completed with steamed green beans, jalapenos, Muenster cheese, tomatoes, avocado spread, salt and pepper and a secret hot sauce. They're yummy. (Did I say that already???)

I didn't bring lunch today and none of Chewie's monkeys or clowns were around to inspire me to have something different for lunch...like a frozen burito...so I went to Mangia Mangia. I had a burger, fries and a Coke. I realized something as I was sitting there enjoying my burger...If I went to McDonald's, I'd pay about $5.02 for a crappy burger, fries and a coke. I go to Mangia Mangia...get one of the best burgers around with good fries and a can of coke for $5.40. I think I'm the winner there. Oh, Angelo left work early...I think he and the misses have a date tonight. He had a little more urgency in his shuffle.
