I am anticipating that I will not be eating anything particularly noteworthy for lunch today, so I will just tell you what I had for lunch yesterday, takeout from Cafe Con Leche: Two vegetable empanadas and the #45 -- Vegetables in Spicy Red Sauce with Peppers and Onions. They give you two different kinds of incredible hot sauce (one orangish and one white), which alone are enough to make me go back. In fact, I'm daydreaming about it right now, at 8:30 a.m. I did not see any peppers in my entree, despite its name, but that's OK. I have a sneaking suspicion the empanadas were not vegetable, which is making me a littl queasy. This means I will have to order them again and see if they give me the same things they gave me yesterday. Does this mean I'll have to go back sometime very soon? (Answer: YES.) I will have a pretty photo of this lunch on my website later today. Come by and check out the colorful fiesta!

I ate a pitta bread, cut in half and filled with chocolate spread. I would have eaten prawn cocktail crisps as well but my best friend stole them. I also had my first tastes (not literally) of Avenge Sevenfold and CKY! Amazing! Lunch was spoiled rather by the presence of my younger sister, intruding on the lunch society thing we have going. However, for the most part, an enjoyable lunch.

I had no idea there was a subway in Salem. Go figure... I had the Chicken Ranch sub on Whole Oat Grain type bread. It was very good. Jared wasn't there though. One of these days he will be and I'll have my picture taken with him. That and $.50 will buy me the Boston Globe.

i had leftover chinese from last night from Lucky Garden near my house. I put the plastic to-go box in the microwave that I probably shouldn't have. it tasted good though. love a day old chicekn fingers reheated in the microwave. it's like eating chicken and donuts at the same time.

For lunch today I had Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup. Everyone is sick so I'm eating soup as much as I can for the vitamins. We also had oreo cookie ice cream cake from Baskin Robins. It was pretty good. Today is Lynne's birthday. She's the queen of purchasing. Without her...we'd be in serious trouble.

I went to the health food store across the street and picked up a microwavable "Szechuan Stir Fry" pocket-sandwich by "Imagine Foods" and a pack of my new favorite stand-by snack "Tofu-2-Go" (this time I tried the Santa Fe style with Mango salsa). The pocket-sandwich was okay and the tofu was okay, but together--and knowing I had avoided fast food--was great! (I almost got the "Ethnic Gourmet" brand--hate their name--Tofu Pad Thai, but I looked and it contained 84g of carbs for, like, a cup of food...weird.)

For lunch today I had a chicken and rice bowl from Trader Joes. 4 minutes in the microwave and then you have a yummy lunch. I drove over to Starbuck's so I could read the newspaper in peace. Sorry...not real exciting. I used to have exciting lunches before evil G&J sent everything to NY. Bad G&J....NO DONUT FOR YOU!
