I had some store-bought hummus with a few seaweed-tamari rice crackers. I am jealous of Keith's hummus and am now compelled to make some of my own, using my food processor (not fire-engine-red, but nice anyway) and pressure cooker!

I had some homemade hummus, also, as Jodi says, from "'scratch'," with celery and carrots, along with some rolled deli slices of chicken. A simple lunch, but lots of fun because I proved to myself that my brand new fire-engine-red food processor (Christmas present!) can whip through chick peas like butter. (It probably whips through butter like something thinner than butter.)

I had ARMENIAN RED LENTIL SOUP WITH APRICOTS at home. What made it more than just plain "Fun", and what earned it the extra "plus", was this: I MADE THE SOUP MYSELF. From, as they, say, "scratch". Amazing. Not just that I made it, but that it actually tasted fantastic. I will post pictures on my world-famous website later! Come by and have a bowl!

I had takeout from Calcutta Cafe: vegetable pakoras, mushroom saag, and, of course, a heapin' helpin' of rice. It wasn't as delicious as I wanted it to be, but it did work wonders to keep me from certain starvation.

Due to the weather, Erin, Melissa and I decided to get something delivered. We ordered from Christina's in Salem. I had a "Real Chicken" Parm sub. They listed it that way on the menu. "real chicken" That actually scares me a bit... G&J gave me a trip to remember about 18 months ago...I'll never forget it. They gave me the trip to the unemployment line.

G&J's 2004 holiday party, a Trip to Remember, featuring food from nine different countries. Greece and Switzerland were the best. I'm stuffed like a grape leaf!

Had cereal for lunch - muesli in fact. Sad I know, but I couldn't be bothered cooking anything. Topped off lunch with a couple of cool crossword puzzles.

Went down te street to the warp on Mass ave. It was cold. I had large "The peking" with dark chicken. I always have Bangkok dark chicken and wanted to try something a bit different. It was great. Happy holidays everyone!

Subway Veggie Delite sandwich. Lay's potato chips. Mountain Dew. I had a coupon I'd clipped from the Sunday paper. "Add $1 to make it a Value Meal." The people at the Subway acted like they'd never seen a coupon before. Four people were consulted before they decided it was acceptable. They bit it. They held it up to the light. They looked at me askance. Then, in the end, the checkout guy had to double check with the manager that I did, indeed, get chips and a drink with that. I'll go back for sure -- with another coupon.
