Boooooooo to the guy at Schlotzsky's who is incapable of making a SIMPLE GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH!!! I stepped to the counter, and very politely ordered a grilled cheese sandwich,and I received an abomination containing very little actual cheese, mustard spread UNDER the cheese, olives embedded into the cheese (which I cannot abide by) and lettuce, onions and tomatoes in the middle. Yech. I could eat the top half of the sandwich, as it was uncontaminated by the embedded olives, but that was it. Very unsatisfying.

For breakfast: A bagel and some smoked salmon spread from Acme in Greenpoint. http://www.groceryretailonline.com/storefronts/ac.html -- they sell wholesale to the general public on Fridays. Stock up! And for lunch right now, a Genoa salami sandwich on rye with Cape Cod chips and an Orangina. I am in love with salami. Lunch meat of the gods!

New lunch place! Small counter, cramped interior, friendly cooks who snap at each other if they get in the way. Soup and sandwich for less than $5. I had salami and mozz. Chicken soup -- not chicken noodle, just chicken. An iced tea. And a Nestle bar. Who eats Nestle bars?

I had the most delicious and sensual lunch consisting of a supple sandwich, a bag of chips and a bottle of 5 Alive. The sandwich had two slices of rye bread with lettuce and smooth tasting cobasa. The texture of the cobasa stimulated my palate. Crisp lettuce and secret sauce added to the greatness of the sandwich. The chips were actually Sun Chips, like a bite of the sun everytime. 5 Alive, need I say more.

I had left over pizza from last night. My BF made it on a spelt crust from Whole Foods (ooooh how I miss wheat!) Johnny's Subs Delivers! Today Gordo had a cuban sub with salt & vinegar chips and a root beer. Flaka had a roast beef sub with lettuce, black olive and mayo, cheez doodles and a diet coke. Gordo is now wondering exactly when was it that he went from thinking the word "sub" was a very strange way to say "hero" to his thinking today that "hero" just sounds wrong when ordering a "sub".

It's leftover Monday already and Flaka is out today! Gordo had seafood fettucine leftover from Sunday, a small green salad, a pepsi and a fistful of leftover Halloween candy.
