I had 2 of the new 1/2 pound burritos - beef combo and beef potato. Both were okay and filling. Much better than the other special junk TB has pushed the last few years. Oh, I also had a nachos supreme - for the money, it's the best thing they have!

Thought I'd make something at home before heading back into the office...put multigrain bread, thin sliced turkey, saurkraut, and Russian dressing into one of those 1990s grill/sandwich presses that seal the sandwich into triangles (yeah, I know, first the George Foreman, now the sandwich maker--but I've had the thing forever). Result: Amazing! A Turkey Reuban at home. Washed it down with iced green tea.

Went to Cafe Zaiya near the library with Laura. There's a Beard Papa stand inside! Got the BLT, an amazingly delicious simple sandwich (secret: add egg salad), and a Pokka milk coffee. Laura got the spicy tuna rolls, which weren't that fresh, and some edamame. We only have one salt packet in the office.

Ate out with the techies at work...I don't see how everyone affords to do this everyday. I had a swiss and mushroom burger, which was good. Sampled my friend's mini corn dogs, which are, well, addictive. Superlative sweet tea. I made pork chops on my new George Foreman grill--candy apple red. I know this is five years ago's grill, but I was very happy with how everything turned out. Finished it up with some homemade fried rice, which was actually horrible. But lunch was great b/c of that grill... (I'll get over it soon.)
